Yea they didn't send tickets lots of times! Lots of error and let drivers go

Some of them are empty but still flashes. That's why you may or may not received the ticket a few weeks later.

Just would like to confirm, are u guys sure it's ok as long as it is not red when u enter the intersaction ? cause i was caught by a police and got a ticket at the scene ( i ran an amber light)many years ago on Hastings on my way to work. I disputed the ticket but failed , their argument was that i left the intersation after the lights turned red. So what they said was if run an amber in a timing that u saw the light turns red while passing the intersaction, u've broken the law.
Can anybody reconfirm?

KSS, the case we are discussing here is "CAMERA".  Camera is no human being, it simply not able to tell you are " run an amber in a timing that u saw the light turns red "    The cameras need an absolute logic to perform its task.  When you pass the first set line on a red, it trigger the camera and shot the first pic. When you exit the 2nd set line you trigger another shot. With 2 shots, you can then be nailed.

Now thinking about it, I noticed there was a car behind me after the flash, maybe it was that car, or he/she just made a right turn from 49th.

I read some English news few months ago, there are over 90 red light cameras, but at any time only 30 cameras in whole Greater Vancouver are active.

And I am pretty sure there is one red light camera in front of Burrard bridge.

Yes, you get 2 photos in the mail. One will show that you are crossing the stop line with red light. The other one will show you are crossing the intersection with the red light.
