Can you do the tax using a tax software and then just print out the tax forms and mail them instead of doing it online?

Hi maldini,
most tax software can do it (Quicktax, U-file, Cantax, and almost all), because they're separated into few parts... so what the tax software does is allow you to input data and calculate the amounts for you, and then you can choose to either print out the return in paper and drop off to CRA or save it as a file XXX.tax and the software would then link you to the CRA website to submit the .tax file.
To submit .tax file online instead of paper, you need to have an access code... for most people if you have filed your return before (not first year filing), you would have the access code from a letter from CRA =)
ummm.... I used both quicktax and u-file before
quicktax's layout is much better than U-file I think... U-file isn't that good to use.
Quicktax tells you how much refund you're having instantly after you enter each entry... U-file doesn't until the end after all entries
anyone need last minute quick help on doing their tax, feel free to let me know ^^
i would be happy to try my best to help out
