most people in hk don't based on their salary. remember hk pays good bonus for regular jobs(of course in good year la), at least double pay ma. you will never see a teller in canada get 3-4x monthly salary as bonus, even though in bull mkt.
if you are famous doctors/lawyers in hk, you can make a fortune, but not here. doctors in canada only get ~$30/patient, depends on where you are. but the hk one can charge whatever they want. some lawyers in here earn $0 income. they lost the case that they worked for # of years, so they got nothing la.
IT makes a lot in HK? no kidding la.. my fd,who has years of experience, works IT in Hk, just barely around $15000 HK.

Not all IT gei .. those with ~ 10 yr experience .. many make ~ $1M HKD a year.

As tofu said .. most HK people dont base on salary ..
Like my friend .. he can make $90K net just for the week in Vic Park during chinese new year " LIN SILK " .. but not every week or month "lin silk" ga ma...
Also, depends on age range .. as I am 3X year old .. and most LYK are 1X or 2X .. it is more chance to make ~ $1M / yr for 3X yr people then 2X yr old.
