Just got the modem swapped today by Shaw. Now I have the latest Motorola one, it is way faster than before.

i dont know what that means
this is not a test of my home connection, its still 56k phone line

but i download 2.4 gig " windows 7 " in less than 1 hour at this location

Try calling Shaw and complain. Ask them to swap your modem to the latest model and see if it improves your speed. Keep in mind that your speed also depends on where you live.

well, depends on how many people use shaw in my area
