the Tarayon modem is very very old...  i got the Motorola one for at least 2 years already... but it's not black tho.. it's a navy blue... perhaps not the newest model.

they just mailed me the new one, I haven't mail the old one back yet. but the speed did really improved A LOT

Mine is the black surfboard 5100, the on/off switch doesn't even work. I think it is disabled through the firmware.

My black Motorola has the button. So there is a new blue Motorola modem. But my Motorola already can do 8 - 9Mbps when the network is fast.

actually they called me and told me they will send me the new modem. I didn't do anything.
