Easy, try to catch him red handed, then ask him to eat the food himself. If he refuses, tell him why would he want to serve this to other people if this is not good enough for a normal human like him.
If he keeps doing it, you better find a replacement soon enough before no one comes to your restaurant anymore.
overnight vegetable can tell by its look, no one wants to get it la. if people just want overnight food which reheated by microwave, they don't need to go to restaurant la.
unless the foods needs days to prepare, usually they don't prepare big portion and leave it overnight
can you ask your partner shorter his vacation ar?
I already FIRED him and closed my restaurant down. I would not serve this kind of food to customer. He already left. Before I was proud to say I took restaurant food for my lunch every day. If I do not dare to eat it, I would not want to serve it to the customer.
The last I heard, someone from my restaurant saw him wearing cook uniform at Aberdeen Center food court.
I created this thread to alert restaurant owner about this guy. To tell you the truth, someone even vomited after eating his food.

Some cooks really have serious problems with their 人品/人格. Our family friends are pretty nice people and they always respect their employees. However, some cooks/chefs took it as granted and even tried to fool the boss so that they could control the boss. The result is that they were all fired. Some of them actually have difficulty to work as cooks/chefs again since other business owners begin to realize what kind of person they are.
Unfortunately, your temp-cook is not the only cook that would cook in this “restaurant way of cooking”. Some not just cooked in this way, but teach others to do the same as well.
Speaking of my partner, he would not want to come back anytime soon. I asked him to come back to settle down things first but he refused. What kind of person was that. In his mind, everything was about him.
Anyway, it's another long story.
World of Advice, if you want to open a business with someone else, choose someone more responsible and have more business sense and someone would respect you and listen to you.
I agreed with you. Some cook just would not listen to others. He came to my restaurant and at least he should follow our rules.
Guess what? I only asked him two things, one: do not fight with other employees and two do not put food into microwave and he told me "NO, he cannot do that."
He just wanted to be lazy. So hopefully the new cook your friend's restaurant hired does not have the name started with "J". If it is, pm me, I will pm you the name. Do not hire this guy because his way of cooking will make people sick.
At least all I ask is to have some business sense and ask me before he does anything..
He decided to go back to Malaysia and bought the tickets already and my wife and I were the last to know. He went back to Malaysia because his friend was going back....
