A guy kill another person, but he still thinks 對得住自己對得住人, so what is the standard?

Anybody we know now or in history has reached 佛 level?

　　不知善、惡、有罪、無罪、習常或不平常；
　　不知好、壞、污、淨的分別緣起

　　渴望、愛慾的原因
　　不知、不見、或只知其一
　　不能全部洞然明白，
　　這些癡暗、無明、大冥，

Can someone that is at 佛 level go back to 作惡?  Can a 佛 ever fail again?
