VERY VERY lucky with the weather the day we took the chopper up!! Ma Wan Island (bottom of the photo) looks very different then with none of the Park Island complex even started.
Taken on June 28, 1998

Taken on February 17, 2009
New to CX in 1986, during the downturn in the late 90's this and all the other 743's in the fleet was sold to Pakistan Airlines (PIA) and registered AP-BFU in 1999. The aircraft is now WFU. Seen here in happy times landing at Kai Tak on the famous runway 13 with Lion Rock in the background.

Now that's perfect, KAI TAK, LION ROCK and a PHILIPPINE DC-10 (The only DC-10 I ever flew on!!)

By far the most famous shot I've ever taken, it can be found in numerous books and on the covers of a few. Also found on posters and DVD covers. Even Rolls Royce used it for a company book. Kai Tak airport closed in July 1998 and is sadly missed by aviation nuts worldwide. Sadly like many things that do well poor black & White copies of this photo are now on sale in various tourist locations in Hong Kong... and that makes me very mad!!!

Actually she's my favorite of the 12 featured.
Full of sentiments, creativity and senses in her photos.

this freedom of flickr, makes it different from magazines, magazines select photos for you

i learn something from the selection process,
i recommend everyone  to  browse and select themselves...
