flickr  let people look at many photos, and select the one they themselves admire

this freedom of flickr, makes it different from magazines, magazines select photos for you

partly true
but since there are so many magazines out there, you can also pick the ones you like the most. it's true that you don't get to see as much work from the amateurs

i split my time between magazines and flickr equally.  You can learn from both sources.

I must say i know nothing about professional photography, but i think her images stand out among all others. Maybe it's just my taste.

Canon  / PowerShot A640

a 10 megapixel 4x zoom camera
its probably better at shooting distant objects than my
olympus c 740, 3 megapixels 10 x zoom

the 10 megaixel  can do digital zoom better than my 3 megapixtels, i think

here is a canon powershot master

maanmo says ,this canon master portraits the beauty of life  well

Impatient, aware time is passing

I will not die an unlived life
I will not live in fear of falling
Or of catching fire
I choose to inhabit my days
To allow my living to open me
Making me less afraid
More accessible
To loosen my heart
So that it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise
I choose to risk my significance
To live so that that which comes to me as seed
Goes to the next as blossom
Goes on as fruit. [Dawn Markova, poet]

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F88
features a compact, metal body, fitted with an internal Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar 3X optical zoom lens that allows it to rotate 300 degrees, so you can see your pose in the camera’s 1.8-inch LCD screen before snapping the picture, providing you with a flexible shooting style.

Its 5.1 megapixel CCD image sensor ensures great picture quality, while its Sony Real Imaging Processor makes it blazingly fast with a near immediate start-up and impressive shot-to-shot time, so you can capture memories as they happen.

maanmo says .. thanks to steve's digicam's review
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/f88.html

The F88's shooting performance was very impressive. Power up to first image captured was an amazing 1.5 seconds. Shutter lag was a mere 1/10 of a second when pre-focused and 2/10 of a second including autofocus

the canon mark II girls was a sony girl
