麥生,導火線係gmail俾人hack呀......睇多D新聞啦....

These so called experts in the US still could not prove who hacked the gmail. They claimed it was the government. Then they found some evidence it was some students in university/college.
But then there is no way you can know if it was a conspiracy of the US government and google, unless they showed all the evidence.

A world dominated by US search engines is not acceptable as the security of other countries will be affected.
Yahoo will probably either will go bankrupt or be swallowed up by Microsoft or others.

Whether US has proof or not does not mean a thing at all. Intelligent agency of most countries in the world has its tactic force continuingly develop the technologies and abilities to launch sophisticated cyber attaches on the national communication networks, military commanding or coordinating systems. More importantly, every country is hacking other countries in its interest.

Even the networks in universities have to withstand hundreds of attempts of cyber attach each day. Ask your networks administrator in your college or university to verify what I said.

I just laugh at it when Google claimed it is the reason it pull out of China.

This is an example showing how people can be easily misled by “news report”. Even thought the news does not suggest one way or another, people will have their own “intelligent” reasoning to come to the conclusion of what the “truth” is.

We all know the reason was that they could not compete with Baidu and they are not used to being number 2 in a market. Either that or it was because of a conspiracy involving the US government.

Other than the BS like this, what else can you say to me?

I don't think you have the ability and knowledge to make a solid argument against me.

Honestly speaking, I am not sure about this. I still don't understand the reason why since it is a very unusual move to me and I don't believe in the reasons that were reported.

In fact, I am watching its performance on the stock market and waiting for any news about Google coming out soon and as well any actions the US government might take against China since it has been heavily putting more pressure on China regarding exchange rate, government subsidizing and trade deficit lately.

"""When China becomes democratic some day, then Google may go back to China. But do you think they will ever regain their market share, LOL?"""

why not?  most foreign banks left china years ago, and not they go back, they still gain a big market.  unless baidu can go internationally in the next few years.  or china will take long long time to become democratic.

Baidu is more successful than google because they offer a much better product for the Chinese. The same with ebay, amazon or yahoo which were beaten by Chinese competitors that offer better localized products.

Are you kidding? Which foreign bank has large market share in China? There is no foreign banks that are dominant in China now. Even HSBC has very small market share in China. Banks are different than other internet companies. Even in Canada and the US, if some foreigners want to become a majority owner of a bank, they need to get approval from the government. It is unlikely that any foreign bank will become dominant in China or the US.
