Please learn the fact that immigrants come from US, South Korea and UK, which are among the top ten source of immigrants to Canada. The top source of immigrants to Canada is now Phillippines and then India.
All these countries US, South Korea, UK, Phillippines and India are democratic countries. Clearly, these people immigrate to Canada not because of any communist party.
