If you can speak human language, can you answer this question?

What kind of reactions will you expect from the parents and families if their children can only speak Canton style mandarin with Cantonese accent after going to school?

What will the newspaper write this story and which side will it stand?

Think in a human way if you wan to understand the human world.

On a related note, there has been signs that the Mandarin-speaking authorities are attempting to suppress Cantonese in general. Cantonese-speaking television programs in Guangzhou is being dramatically cut back, and I've heard that during prime time (7 - 10 in the evening), none of the major tv stations are broadcasting Cantonese programs.

This is a stupid and worrying trend. As Mr. King Kong was saying, this is yet another wave of "cultural revolution" to destroy our own Chinese culture.
