Everything can be in the plan. But the question is whether you want to take the risk. They can do all kinds of engineering assessment and predictions but at the end, the condo still sinks. It may not lean to either side but the walls and poles will crack over time. If you get a chance to see some of those condo (less than 5 years old) along Garden City and Katsura, some cracks are already visible on the first floor with the heaviest pressure. I know the whole Richmond is built on soft soil, but there are some particular area that should not be the locations for high apartments.
Buying a property is a gamble these days anyway but I won't want to be a part of that sinking problem. |
