You better worry about the 200,000 domestic workers and their families becoming Hong Kong citizens. They will all consume a lot of Hong Kong taxpayer money.

You are using the same tone and tactics as the PKSAR government, 工聯會、民賤聯 -- why the fear mongering and spreading of false rumours again? The courts simply ruled that the foreign domestic workers have the right to apply for permanent residency; it doesn't grant them that permanent residency status. They still have to go through an evaluation process, and the overwhelming majority of them will simply not meet that requirement. Having their family in HK is pretty much one of the requirements. How many domestics workers do you know have their whole family working in HK?

The ruling was about equality and giving the same rights to what other foreign workers in other sectors already enjoy. Your blatant hatred towards foreign domestic workers simply shows your twisted racial bias.

Close skin la, racist!

These 200,000 workers are going to take jobs from the grassroots people in Hong Kong. This is a valid concern.

工聯會 is just trying to protect Hong Kong's grassroots people jobs.

If they apply for permanent residency, there are few reasons that Hong Kong government can use to reject them, once they have stayed in HK for more than 7 years.

Both you and the PKSAR are utterly irresponsible for all the fear mongering that you are spreading. 梁家傑 and the Civic Party have already issued repeated statements indicating that from a legal stand point, the immigration department has 4 major pillars of requirements that they have to use in determining whether permanent residency can be justified once the application is submitted. As long as the immigration department goes by the book, it is very difficult for the majority of the foreign domestic workers to obtain PR status.

工聯會 and 民賤聯 are even more 9 in the sense that they are spreading completely false scenarios. That the domestic helper's salary is going to rise more than 2-fold because of minimum wage requirements and that their current employers will have to eat that cost? If anyone has even 1/2 a brain, they would know that as soon as the domestic helper obtains PR status, any semi-intelligent home owner would stop hiring her and find someone new (at the starting rate -- a mere HKD$3500-ish). 工聯會 and 民賤聯's argument is completely false, and amounts to little more than fear mongering and manipulating the issue to attack the Civic Party in the district elections.

想唔話你條死賤人係賤人都唔得!

Once those domestic workers become HK permanent resident, they have to pay tax according to the HK tax system.  They are eligible to the education, health & housing system as they are HK taxpayers.  They contribute their time & effort in HK, they pay tax in HK, it is fair to be covered under the same welfare system.  In addition, the domestic workers might not qualify to be HK permanent resident after the overall evaluation process.

Let's compare the contribution level between those domestic workers and those 內地孕婦.  No doubt the domestic workers play an important role in HK.  How's about the 內地孕婦?  Any contribution?   On the other hand, they would like to enjoy the benefit purposely.

If you say it is unfair to them, I would say it is unfair to all HK people.
