Yes Carvers.... steak done perfectly as requested and I loved it !!!! Other items didn't "shine" as much, for the price of $38 (i just found wierd similarity between the desserts they served vs the dessert I saw in WHOLE FOODS Wahahahaha) AGREE, they normally offered 3 course menu as well, likely for the same price on valentines day/Xmas ~~~~

Seasons definitely worth a try, especially if you can do it for lunch.  $18 per person for a fabulous 3 course menu (which means....a free lunch pretty much after a statement credit rebate from AE)

Bistro Pastis - my first visit there so I haven't set a benchmark for what to expect.  Its still VERY good for a menu price of $28.

    打邊爐我寧願屋企食。

同埋鍾意烹飪藝術嘅人係接受唔到所有嘢都係"sap"熟,你出街食都係食平日屋企煮唔到嘅嘢,即係你屋企唔會整點心,唔會整燒鵝,但係喺屋企你可以打邊爐。

I did try having hotpot in the house...
We have two 電爐 but turn out when both are running at the same time the fuse blow!! >_<
The other issue is that, too much smoke inside the house...the smell is trapped...
Also...LOTS of work....washing veggie...etc etc...

And turn out the price is not too much cheaper than eating out.

    唔平㗎!屋企食真係唔平㗎!但係感覺衞生啲囉,啲嘢洗得乾淨啲囉。

但係我覺得打邊爐一定會講是非,講笑,大庭廣衆有時冇咁開懷。

我太鍾意食,太欣賞烹飪技巧,煎炒煮炸蒸焗炆,咁多唔同口感,淨係打邊爐滿足唔到我。

    You are right that hot pot is not safe for baby...so I haven't had hotpot since my baby is born.

I actually like my Minami dine out.
However, I like the appetizers a lot more than the sushi.
It's personal, I don't like sauces to over power the fish in my sushi and not crazy about "block shape" sushi (not quite the same as bettara). Let's say I prefer traditional sushi over creative rolls...etc.
So I am just OK with the sushi plate.

I think $38 is not bad to try an expensive place like Minami. I may go back for appies.
btw I had aburi sushi from Hachi even when they first opened. I don't get it why suddenly aburi is a big deal.
