gas+hydro: 200

saving:
family saving including house maintainance 1000
RRSP 1000
travel: 200
car maintanance: 100
So...around 4000 month

Lucky you don't have mortgage, with mortgage payment it's hard to save that much.

hmm, if i divide my tuition and school stuff into monthly spendings...
tuition: 750
books and school supplies: 150
rent: 750
car insurance and gas: 250
phone bill: 50
food and household items: 200

~$2150/month
but that will change in a yr's time

My expense sounds primitive

$400 rent including utilities
$500 on all of my expenses ($100 a week including food and entertainment; $100 for bus pass a month)

that's why I did save quite a lot for other stuff

Yeah that's why I don't think I can afford a house. I"m living in parents place.

i miss the old good day when both of us working & saving like crazy.... at that time we lived in a bachelor for $530 rent for everything included (but only 220 ft); 1 cell phone (his paid by company); 1 old car with only insurance & gas to pay ($350); than the rest are just variable cost....
