I think EE is much harder.

Making a circuit / chip, involves a lot more risk.

Software engineering... is easy to get in and make things work, but not easy to get good at it.

I should clarify, EE as in Electronics, don't know too much about Electrical. I am thinking along the line of low amperage ~ electronics, high amperage - electrical...

Where electronics does have a certain amount of SW, FW, etc. Hardware design is often just VHDL logic coding anyways, among other things of course.

In SE (software engineering) field, people often can get >100K if in senior or management level la.

why someone doesn't believe others can make over $100,000/yr?

i believe those people who are in the medical field can easily make $100,000.  remember people get 1.5x - 3x pay when they work overtime. and the salary on your t4 included some of your paid benefits as well.

if you don't satisfy with you low-paid job, you should spend more time to upgrade yourself in-order to get a better job.  rather than questioning the others.
or if you are too stupid to upgrade yourself, just work harder la.
