Commercial Drive at Napier Street - 1954/2009

The then photo here shows the old street car tracks getting removed. Imagine if the street car still ran down The Drive!
The building with the green awning, the Florida Market, has been around on The Drive for a very long time. The turreted apartment block in the middle of the picture has lost its 'hat' but is still there and in pretty decent shape. The building on the far right looks to have been replaced and in the distance, it looks like that part of Commercial Drive was large houses, and is now retail buildings.
