i agree with 小叻 too...i am doing my wedding planning as well...and i also took the pre-wedding photos in TW, and bought all the accessories including wedding gown while I was in HK.....that total cost was around 10K.....so it really depends what you are looking for and if you have the time to go back for your photos...the pre-wedding photos in TW are so much nicer than here (in my opinion)...so just decide what you wanna do and start planning from there......
I do think you can have a decent pre-wedding pictures in $5K done locally with album, big picture frame, signing mat, and thank you card etc.... And then say another 2K for wedding day pictures. And the pre-wedding package usually comes with wedding gown for your wedding day as well. So I do think 7K you can have pictures if done seperately. Plus $500 wedding gown rental, and perhaps $500 wedding day makeup. Just another option for you la.
I went to White Day to check out their dresses, their rental is quite expensive.
I think average is about 1100 - 1300 depends on the dress...
Not sure if you are considering buying a wedding gown, I randomly went to a bridal store on Columbia. I didn't find the store appealing from outside but still decided to give it a try.
Ended up they have huge selection and they are doing 50% promotion right now.
The gown I like is $1,699 and it's a size 20 but they said they can do alternation for me for $165 flat rate . No special order though. It has to be anything on the rack..
溫哥華D景其實都好靚...但係依到既婚紗公司好少好似台灣甘周圍出去影外景...來來去去其實都係平時出街自己去到既景點 (ex. QE Park, Minoru chapel, stanely park, Main Library..etc) 而且如果你想多影外景...價錢會越貴﹗普遍本地既婚紗公司鐘意影內景..有D仲係係室內求其影完再係電腦配個背景入去~ 個價錢同result唔係甘值囉~ (純屬個人意見) 但係如果係台灣影..通常佢地會包車帶你周圍影(由早上10點到晚上8點再由九點影內景到11點) 而且景點係你自己揀架~﹗
i guess me and 小叻 went throught the same thing.......did pre-wedding photos in TW and shop shop shop in HK and China......saved alot of money compare to doing everything here....

nope, actually the $1500 is for wedding day photography, not pre-wedding. and this is from M4 Studio... he is the photographer for Mindy's place. the original price is 2700, and i got this price because of my fiance's sister.
it does save alot if you can do most of the things from asia. like wedding favors, invites, bridesmaid dresses, custom make ur own gowns etc etc. and since their pre-wedding photography is cheaper, i was thinking i might take pre-wedding in hk/tw when i go back to hk the end of this yr with my fiance
I guess everyone have different priority regarding wedding planning...
For me, I care a lot about my pre-wedding photos and not so much about the banquet.
So I booked my pre-wedding photo @ TW and planning to my wedding gown custom made in China...
Have anyone had their wedding gown custom made in China before?
I am still a bit nervous about the style and quality.....
my fiance's sister made all her dresses in china, including her wedding gown. she is a very picky person but she liked it... you do have tell them exactly what you like. also go to wedding stores and ask where they got their dresses made, so you know the place has decent dresses....... but do keep in mind that you will need alternations afterwards
