Sometimes I go to Copa Cafe (cambie), I think it's not bad. I-Cafe is ok...
At least....once I had the Chinese set dinner (with 燉湯), I don't feel thirsty afterwards.

告羅士打 goes downhill when it reopens after the Canada Line.

告羅士打 is OK, dont get much choice in the area, I rate them better then I-cafe. I go there quiet often for afternoon tea.

Agree! I'd rather pay more for good food then to settle for cheap but poor food plus service.
I find that I feel a bit  better when I say to myself: "Don't expect ANYTHING" before I go to the crappy places. And when I'm there, I won't order anything that is not meant to be made by that place: ie: Steak, spaghetti, burgers, etc. from a Chinese restaurant.

hongkong style cafe , heart <- they don't go together

once you step into one..the food expectation should be dropped tremendously

its like going into a westernized chinese restaurant..or going into a vietanmese/chinese operated japanese restaurants...you may still get alright food..but you just cant expect the same

if you really look for a ok decent hk style one...i-cafe will be the best bet
