Tried West tonight....feedback.. OVERALL RATING: POOR

Well, West was REALLy good when I went there.... 3 or 4 years ago for their expensive tasting menu. Since their Executive Chef David Hawksworth left, I've not gone back. (and I am waiting for the opening of his own new restaurant at Hotel Georgia.)
and...woo... I was googling and found out that their head chef Warren Geraghty (from London) announced to leave back in Mar 2010. And David Gunawan is promoted to be the new chef in mid April. I wonder if the new chef may not be handing it so well during dine out.

One thing I have to point out tho is that even if their lower their dine out menu price, these fine dine restaurants still charge other items at their regaulr price. So prepare to pay for more for drinks ($15 cocktail is not unusual), coffee and wine. (prob have nicer wine selection) |
