That was not true at all. Hong Kong students needed to pay when they studied in UK. Maybe for some children of the HK government staff, they could get come subsidy for studying in UK.
The UK government did not allow ordinary Hong Kong people to immigrate to the UK when 1997 got closer, unlike the Portuguese which allowed all Macau people to immigrate to the Portugal. A very small number of HK people got their 居英權. That was one of the reasons why so many Hong Kong people came to Canada.

Again, you are just blatantly bluffing here.

please read before you reply.  i said in the old days.  many people mentioned they came from a poor families and they chose to study in the uk, due to no charge of the tuition in their 傳記.  also at that time, many hk people got the british passport, not british(oversea) passport/bno.  

according to what you said, all macau people should immigrate to portugal, but why there are still so many macau people here ar.
