I guess your social circle is so small that you can remember how much they eat, or you spy on them so much to know how much they've had before the meal.

If you know how to tell people to stop order, then there shouldn't be problem with order your own stuff.

Again, the pushing responsibility part is saying "I'm not wasting food because I have others order for me"...i.e. someone else don't waste food.

Austin, you said Ultraman has trouble reading. If you didn't say it in a confusing way, Ultraman wouldn't have any troubles reading/understanding any statements you've made. Because you didn't make it clear and specific enough, therefore people have troubles reading your so called statments! When people misunderstood you, and you said that it's supposed to be their responsbility for making sure to understand you? the responsiblity is still your's because you cannot clearly express your statements.
