discount tire direct has no shipping charge, probably no sales tax as well, since its office is not in washington state. but compare to discount tire & tire rack, its choices are so limited.  i checked 10 models, none of them has any size in stock.

I think many "unknown" name tires are made by the same OEM, like Walmart's "Marshall" is made by Kumho... whether the quality is good or not, I don't really know.

finally i got my tire/rim balanced/mounted on my car...here is the summary

(currency in CAD)

tire (nokian hakka r 195/65/15)

~$592 for the tire

rim (06 civic hybrid  5" alloy rim),
$297 shipped to point roberts
$15 receiving fee
$36 tax at custom

installation (at volco, just like what pkphilip said, they are busy, i got  there right before 9am, then there were several customers came right after 9am)

with all the hassles, i saved about 170 if i purchase them at the only local nokian dealer with steel rim instead of alloy...


so far hakka R feels pretty close to the stock all season tire, unlike hakka Q i had, hakka Q was as soft as gummy bear/coke bottle...felt pretty weird driving on dry road.

Nice, I get my snow tires installed today, wow, I can feel the difference even in rain. Plus, I feel I add air suspension too, nice soft tire. Costco actually ship it so quick, got it within one week. And they're getting super busy now, you guys better get it done before snow. I have no time to shop around, so I guess Costco is my best bet.
This is my first time can't wait to drive in the snow.
