Did you read/listen well? All devices should be well set before you depart, and you really shouldn't distract from any of those device but to concentrate on driving. If anyone thinks being a responsi ...

hv u use a navigation before? even if u did set before you depart, there are times that the device will tell you to change the route and the device needs you to press a button or two....

my old car used to disable the navigation system whenever the car was in drive; very inconvenient because even the passenger could not function it (had to wait for the short-lived red lights or to pull over in the middle of nowhere to activate the gps).

ps, and of course, the driver shouldn't be punching in new addresses or stuff like that when the car is in motion.

let's put it this way; as long as the cops do not see you, you will not be fined; otherwise, tough luck.

I've been using different GPS devices and they'll all automatically re-calculate the routes if needed, without any button needed to be pressed again. Maybe it's about the price and how latest version of the device is, then I don't know.

I think technically, you can press any button of any device just ONCE.
Other thoughts, we might need to press/switch/turn on or off A/C, power window, radio, vent's switch, music volume.....etc from time to time anyways. In case you get caught for any reason, if you don't have any external device in sight, cops can't say anything. But if you have a device attached somewhere in sight, even you only pressed a button once but the cop says he saw you pressed twice, it's difficult to give proof. Just drive safe in a smart way.

I am using Tom Tom navigation and it never asks me to press a button once the destination is set. And that's done before take off the trip. The only time I press something during the trip is that when I want to change day/night colour scheme. But I do it as passenger, not as the driver.

it's actually build in with the car navigation.... if there is a change on the route... then it will re-calculate but it will also offer u the direct route or other options.... that's one problem. another problem is, they say one touch dial right? usually people who doesn't hv flip/slide phones would need to unlock their phones first... that's already consider as one touch right? one touch to unlock another touch to speed dial
