想當年，我都有interview喺Seattle嘅公司。其實都係抱住一試無妨嘅心態。如果真係請，其實都要考慮。喺呢邊住唔係一個支出，喺嗰邊就要。而且，無咁多中餐，想煲啲湯水都唔得，諗起都好似幾慘。不過最後我都唔洗做呢個決定（因為in唔成），都係留返喺本地工作。反而最開心嘅係我媽，始終佢都會擔心一個女仔喺啲陌生環境生活會唔會攪唔掂。

    好奇怪，啲香港阿爸阿媽細細個send啲仔女去英國留學就好放心，但係你出身之後去個Seattle做嘢就好似好擔心冇湯水飲。我覺得好得意囉。

    Because the kids come back to HK every Christmas and Summer, you order them to come home at will.  

Kids gone for work usually stay away for good, minus occasional visits if you are lucky.

    depends ...my mom wouldn't 放心 to send me to boarding school at young (young I mean junior high) age. Come to think of it, I don't think it's good for the child too.

    我覺得好噃，獨立啲嘛，依家啲o靚仔都唔願搬出去。我識一個３０幾歳嘅男仔，喺呢度終日冇所事事，唔返工冇收入但係大隻騾騾，仲係同緊阿媽住。我真係覺得好差，點可以做寄生蟲㗎！

that's absolutely correct. My uncle's son has gone to Toronto for good and rarely come back to Van. His mom always complain about this to my mom

   Send kids to 英國留學 or US or Canada .. yes .. but 好放心??  I dont recall any friends I know back then .. their parents were 好放心 ...  you will understand once you become parent.

    幾唔放心都係家長嘅決定，唔通個８歳細路會叫啲家長俾佢留學咩！

反而大個咗啲仔女想去外面闖啲家長就有微言（雖然呢個唔係我屋企嘅概念，我哋屋企最怕門口狗）。

    guys and girls are different...as a parents...i would be more 放心 for son to live alone than girls...

also...US doesn't seem to be as safe (compare to VAn)...everyone is allowed to have gun legally...
