that depends on what kind of apology la of course...

admins have the responsiblity to remove harmful posts here...and if they fail, I don't think an apology will cause any damage on the forum's part.  Plus, in the member agreement it clearly said that it's not the forum's liability for inappropriate posts

I  read the letter couple times..

It seems that the deadline is HK time.
But they did not mention it.

Should admin do it using our time or their time.

Anyway, it seems their IT department is sucks..

this means that admin can only turn him/her in to the court or RCMP if that person breach the law...but admin just can't give it to any lawyer only because they ask for it...they simply don't have the right to get it

admin should just delete the post and reply saying that there's nothing he can do abt revealing personal information of that member because the CANADIAN law don't allow him to do so

if admin really listens n turns this person in...i don't even wanna be a cd-rom here anymore

since when did EEG become the 相關執法部門 and have the rights to do such things?

also, did u contact EEG to confirm about this letter?
Many IT professionals know how to write a simple program with PHP to generate an email with the sender same as their email address and pretend it is an email sent by them

This is not an email spoofing.
I can easily locate the email sender server address and can confirm that where it is coming from.
