Fengsheng (風神) has brought torrental rain to Hong Kong and caused minor flooding. Trash cans, trees, street signs, scaffoldings, and hung-up advertisments collapsed. The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Gale or Storm signal at 10:45 p.m. on June 24, 2008. As it has gradually weakened while making landfall, the maximum winds were at about 86 km/h. Fengshen has also caused lanslides and thunderstorms. The wind has brought severe damage and is strongly wrecking the city. The Strong Wind Signal No.3 was hoisted at 11:15 a.m., June 25, 2008.

"I fell in love with photography when I was modelling in my 20's. Now on the other side of the lens, I'm a long-time semi-pro photographer whose path has been a mix of interest and opportunity. I typically shoot with a range of Canon digital (and sometimes fllm) SLRs, and any # of small digital sidearms for capturing incriminating moments or wild action shotz..... I often return to my film roots (though long ago dismantled my B&W darkroom.)

Few locals have seen this view of the huge transformation taking place on False Creek's south shore. This will be the 2010 athlete's village, and later, housing. Shot from Vancity's corporate boardroom.
