I live in Vancouver for 32 years and never feel the need to subscribe to Chinese Channel. I have been guest on 30 FTV  shows , 100+ talkshows on both radio
stations plus Channel M  so I think I've seen everything.  Just do not expect too
much for local ethnic media service.

Well as i mentioned earlier, the Chinese market here is just too small. It just wouldn't make sense to have multiple Chinese TV Stations in here. Other than HK, where else can you find a decent Chinese TV Stations in other "non-chinese" country? Would Chinese Stations in France, England, Brazil, Australia be any better than FTV ?? All I am saying, it's the nature of this market. It's just not worth the investment. As a side note, can you guys list out what do you expect FTV to do to satisfy you guys as a subscriber of their channel. ie. no local commercials ?? HK quality soap opera ?? HD broadcasting ?? up to date HK drama ??

As a reference to other chinese station, If any one have experience with the chinese TV stations in the US, please feel free to bring it up. I believe they are funded by China and people were saying they are a lot better than FTV. Can someone please inform us about their own productions in the US and their commercial quality ? Would they provide their own production like FTV does ?? How's their local commercials compared to the one in here ??

新聞都係焗住睇架咋.

講起新聞就火都嚟,  廢柴簡直就侮辱咗中文傳媒, 今個月有單响Richmond 某華人市塲一單相當複雜嘅傷人案, 廢柴簡直就提都唔提, 我嘅感覺就係一係哋D記者廢柴, 一係就有人唔想單嘢見光, 但係D洋人傳媒就冇面畀登晒出嚟, 我身為一個華人死八公, 要由一個洋人同事嚟講番我聽先知有等單咁嘅嘢.

so you are saying all those that watch 新秀 and C9教煮餸 are not 正常 ??

Yeah, can people find any good local Japananese, Korean or Indian TV stations in North America? Of course it is difficult to find those outside of Asia. Those bashers of Fairchild are just stupid.

Just imagine Vancouver without FTV.. no more chinese news, no more TVB dramas.. Is that what you guys want ?? .. I think before you guys complaining this and that.. Just answer my questions earlier. What do you guys want or expect from FTV ... in a chinese market like Vancouver.

我睇過新秀一次, 半塲之後我就頂唔順走開咗, 主人家亦以人道立塲轉台.
至於C9教煮餸, 我就真係冇聽過有人會日光日白咁得閒, 又唔駛do 咁去睇. 當你係番夜嘅都唔會睇啦.

正唔正常哩呢D純粹係個人標準, 之不過我就認為係相當合理.

How come u are so negative and stubborn about this whole FTV issue. hahaha lol.. What do you want and expect from a chinese TV station in a North America City. Who is stupid enough to setup a 新台 in Vancouver ?? It's just not profitable. Fairchild is just one of the political move by 馮永發. FTV is just here to for him to tell the world he cares about the chinese culture.

Really, please don't be so stubborn and keep bashing. Have really ask yourself what do you want from FTV. If you have control of FTV what would you do to make it better.

C9教煮餸 is for C9 .. for those that has nothing to do at home in the morning. sigh... you are being too extreme and not discussing the issue rationally.
