Haven't tried its food yet. But agree with you that he does even know that "fusion cuisine" is!!! He just makes himself looks sooooo....... stupid.

Strange.... How come the post of "sowailam" is gone? The #43 post became "Littleprince" and it used to be the post of "sowailam".

Did "sowailam" delete his/her own post or admin deleted it?

「芝穎豪園係你嘅港式fusion茶餐廳」- 這是電台廣告上 Dr Chan 親口說的slogan，本人孤陋寡聞，不明白什麼是真正的fusion cuisine, 有沒人為我解釋一下！因為我一直以為 fusion 菜是法國菜，加些亞洲食材就是 fusion 菜，例如加些中國冬菇做伴菜做櫻桃酒鴨胸Caneton Aux Cerises、或是加些中國蔥入去焗法國田螺 French Escargots.............. 原來港式咖啡可以是 fusion; 火腿(西)湯米粉(中)、西多士又是否 fusion呢？西炒飯，(豬扒、牛扒、羊扒)配日式燒汁加中國白飯又是 fusion？西洋菜蜜又點計呢？攪到我頭大晒...無心機睇 hockey 添！

fusion cuisine 好像混血兒，父親與母親來自不同種族，他們產生了下一代！下一代(fusion) 可以像母親多一點，也可像父親多一點，也可以二人也不像..某些地方似母親、某些地方似父親。相信我 - fusion cuisine 是無可能「單親」的！
而港式茶餐廳本身是一種獨特的飲食文化，由於幾十年來港式茶餐廳本身都不是被認同為fusion cuisine 的，如果Dr Chan 要攪什麼港式茶餐廳fusion 菜，就要將港式茶餐廳 mix with 其它地方的食材 (ingredient) 或該地方的傳統煮食方式 (culinary traditions) 才可以攪到名副其實的 fusion cuisine!
又據本人所知，真正的fusion cuisine 多是高貴餐廳來的，雖然多數幫襯過芝穎豪園的老友記都認為它價錢比較貴，但標準都是以一般港式茶餐廳來作比較，如果以真正的fusion cuisine比較，芝穎豪園一個晚餐的價錢也許只是一般fusion cuisine食一個(甚至半個)前菜(Appetizer)的價錢而已！非常抵食，不過我們的老友記不是食fusion 菜而已！

最後：「芝穎豪園係你嘅港式fusion茶餐廳」宣傳名大過其實！fusion 是令大家confusion 的意思

Fusion at so-called high-priced restaurants is just a gimmick. It has been around for thousands of years. Most of the world's cuisines are the result of fusion.
