any recommendations on attractions or places to go in portland?? i haven't been there before so i have no idea what's to see there

outlet & downtown for shopping. cannon beach or any beach, it has endless shoreline.
if you have time, you can take#101 to come back, different view, but it takes 2x or 3x time.

Oregon Zoo is fun too. And it is close to downtown Portland and can get there easily by sky-train like public transit. Of course, tax free shopping is the best !! ^^

Sand dunes in Florence.  Riding the ATV and the buggy tour are really fun.

Go shopping in Woodburn outlet. Go to enjoy prime rib in Sayler's, delicious!

not sure if St. Helen Volacano can be considered one of the attractions (?)
