Question: Anyone living near Gilmore/Brentwood mall?

Planning to rent high-rise appartment near there, but find there is a railway.

Want to know is the train passby noisy? what's their schedule and frequency? I search the website and mention the Toronto-Vancouver train will passby around 9:00am and 9:00pm. Any other cargo train or any train will go through there at midnight-early morning? Thanks.

sorry dude didn't see your post till now...

I lived on top of Save On Foods (Buchanan St) for 18 months. I was on the 15/F facing south. yes...there is a railroad 'in front' of us and we did notice it but the noise was not too annoying. You don't hear a lot of noise when you have the windows/doors closes..which is our case for 8 months of the year. We had more of an issue with the skytrain maintainance cart going on in the middle of the night....as we were 50 ft away (horizontally) from the track.

There are trains that go by the VIA rail track all day but I didn't notice them too much. Overall I was okay with the noise but of course the next buyer of the house may have a different perspective...which is the downside of this convenience (near everything).

Hope that helps....we sold our condo because we wanted a house....not because of the noise.
