Read this long time ago...basically have a quick look around the car while you're approaching it before your start and leave.

Say if you back-in a parking stall against a wall, you have no problem to drive out.
If you front-in against a wall, you should have saw the obstacle at the back window before you get into your car.
Anyway, be smart la.
