Parliamentarians to dine on seal meat?

There may soon be a new dish in town.
It has come to our attention that this spring, the parliamentary restaurant may serve... wait for it... seal.
That's right, seal meat.
Last year, a number of Senators came up with the idea, but it was hard for the chef to find a distributor.
This year, it bodes better.
A distributor on the Magdalen Islands has said he can provide the restaurant with the meat. Provided it is at the right time of the hunting season.
A tasting is being planned for early next month.
For now, the only way I remember seal meat being eaten is when the Governor General ate some... raw, last May, in a move to show support for Inuit culture.
Marcel Proulx, one of the MPs who sits on the committee overseeing the House of Commons budget, says he's not worried about potential controversy from anti-seal hunting activists.
He says it's legal here and could be a boost to the industry.
Have you seen the TV video about Japanese rounding up sea dolphins in a bay and killing them off as 'Whale' meat susihmi? It was so gross!

Not all Japanese people eat whale or dolphin (even it's a "culture" and it's allowed in Japan), just like not all Canadians are or will become gay/les (same sex marriage is legalized).
Despite the nationality, there are people who think eating whale and dolphin is alright and there are also people think it's not OK.
