Just wanted to know how popular Scotch Whiskey are in the chinese community. I know Beer, Sake, Red wine is very popular but is anybody like Scotch?

I do like scotch and single malt, my favourite are
Johnny Walker Blue Label circa 1967,  Royal Salute, Chivas Regal, Grant, Dimple,
Ballantine 12 years

marketing? no, I am starting to enjoy the taste so I wanted to ask if anybody here likes scotch.

My Dad loves Macallans 18 and I like it too...I got a Chivas 18 and Blue label (don't want to drink yet). But actuall Black Label is also easy to drink.

The Johnnie Walker was good until they sold the business in early 70's.
The new blue label is not nearly as good as the old one.
From whatever available in BC, Royal Salute 17 Guns is the best bet

Royal Salute...I will try look for it...is there any 375ml bottle? Don't want to buy a big one but find out I don't like it.

I only have 1 bottle of Macallans 12 years and a bottle of sherry wood finished Glenmorangie 12 year.

used to like Johnny walker black label, but recently switch to Glenfiddich 12 year (which is my choice over black label for the same price range). for more expensive Whiskey, its either Macallan or Blue label.

BTW, any of you guys add water when drinking Scotch? I usually add a single ice cube when drinking Glenfiddich 12 years but not when drinking anything more expensive. some people claim the water can bring out the whiskey favour or whatsoever...

Yes. I don't do ice cube. Adding drops of water helps to release some favour. I always try it without water first.
