One night after we closed the restaurant, I took my cook home. On my way home back I stopped in a gas station and pumped the gas. This happened before they implemented the "pay first" law. I then realized I forgot to bring my wallet, let along any cards. I already filled up the gas. My wife did not have any money with her neither.
I had to work out a compromise that I left my wife there and I drove back to my cook's place and borrow money from him. It was only a 3-5 minutes drive but it seemed a long time to me. He did not even have any phone (home, cell...).
Since there, I always checked my wallet before pumping gas.
when i lost my mind. on the record. and got transported into riverview hospital. one of the first things i had to do. was to give up all of my clothings and belongings. everything on me. my purse my lighter my wallet. and change into their pajamas. and yes. they have clean underwear available in most sizes.
i mean. it's the law. the mental health act. i broke it. and things happened. according to the book. but i think. myvesa was pretty funny when he said he left his wife there.
i spend a few months teaching art at a career school. in my mid 20s. we were about to have the first life drawing class. most of my students were chinese who had minimal experience. in their late teens to early 20s. and then. the model came. a dancer. very nice body. and gestures. and she undressed herself. to the point of nude. and we started.
when i was studying fine art. this was very much of a routine. but to them. those kids. about 10 - 15 males. that was new. and i myself. had to control the classroom. and i sensed that most of the guys just cannot concentrate. and one of my student told me. his hand kept sweating. and he couldn't draw.
i guess the most embarrassing thought in my mind was that: i am the instructor and this is my job. can't allow myself to think any further.
