Just heard from the radio (AM13xx) that car gas will be subjected to HST. Is it true? This is what I got from the BC government web site:

Q. Which items are eligible for a BC HST point of sale rebate?

There will be point of sale rebates of the 7 per cent provincial portion of the HST for books, children’s sized clothing and footwear, children’s car seats and booster seats, feminine hygiene products and diapers, and motor fuels.

The point of sale rebate for motor fuels includes gasoline, ethanol, diesel and biodiesel when used in motor vehicles as well as locomotive fuel used for trains, marine diesel used for boats, and aviation fuel and jet fuel used for aircraft.


So who is right? If the radio is wrong, should we call in and complain?

Not a big deal, since I won't be the one to worry about the bill if I die haha!

You can die early, but they can delay your funeral service after July 1st.
