列市打擊十字路口違駕 半小時發10告票
【明報專訊】皇家騎警與卑詩保險公司昨日進行十字路口執法，希望教育市民遵守十字路口交通規則。警方在列市一個十字路口，短短半小時便發出近10張告票，違規行為包括轉彎未切入正確行車線、駕車時持手機講電話、未繫安全帶、未帶保險單、以及超載等。

卑保：4成意外發生在十字路口

卑詩保險公司(ICBC)道路安全統籌特雷納曼(Karon Trenaman)表示，經過該公司長達5年的統計，顯示約有40%的交通意外是發生在十字路口，因此只要能提醒司機在經過十字路口時遵守交通規則，定能有效減少交通事故。

列治文皇家騎警昨日在市內「交通黑點」之一的第3路與Blundell路十字路口，監督司機是否遵守交通規則。

警方也強調，會於5月21日至6月18日於全省展開十字路口交通安全計劃，加強司機對交通規則的認識。

記者在該十字路口所見，司機最常出現左轉或右轉時，直接向外切入另一條行車線。現場警員也承認，經常會見到司機犯下此錯誤。

有多名年輕司機，也因為駕車時拿手機講電話而被警員攔下。一名中年男子則是未繫安全帶而拿到162元的「牛肉乾」，警員在盤問時又發現他無法提交汽車保險單，而加開一張81元的告票。

此外，也有貨車司機因為載重超標而被警員攔下。這些違反交通規則的司機，見到警員身後還跟傳媒記者，臉上表情更顯無奈。

Can they say something that we don't already know?

Nonetheless, this is good. I hated some Asian that make illegal u-turn on Granville & Gilbert, all of them ended up getting into Moffett Road. The cops should be there ticketing those rich Asian driving SUVs (yes, I am stereotyping here)

yeah... I saw a slow moving porsche yesterday... passed it and saw the driver talking on the phone emotionly (moving his head and arms) ....

    usually inside the convenience store for east bound and half block after the gas station on west bound Blundell

he looked like he is in a marketing presentation/speech!!
