香港的夏季，烈日如火，渠蓋、瀝青路被陽光燒得熱燙，隨時變「鐵板燒」灼傷途人。威爾斯醫院近年接獲最少四宗公共設施灼傷市民個案，其中兩名幼童玩耍時不慎跌倒在黑色渠蓋上，弄至二級燒傷。
