If anyone knows someone works at 1470 new department.  Please let them know if Skytrain not running during rush hours is newsworthy and should be treated as so.

I was listening to traffic update this morning at around 8:30.  The news about Skytrain not running since 7:30 that morning should be the front news.  They should advice ppl not to use Skytrain if they can drive.  

I think the traffic updates lady spent no more 5 sec in the "middle" of the updates as if nobody cares.  But in fact thousands of people will be late for work for more than an hour.

Does everyone left their common sense at home once they work for Fairchild?   

While I am at it.  Local Chinese newspapers really needs to improve.  I saw in the Health sections, there was a column suggesting eating dog is good for certain illness (Copy directly form Mainland newspapers?). Also why the font size on Sat Mag. is so small lately?  I don't remember seeing one mag with a dif font size throughout the mag.

On my morning commute, new1130 was repeatedly mentioning the Skytrain hiccup and how traffic was severely affected wor?

Mind you, I wasn't paying full attention to the radio, but I know they kept telling listeners about both the Skytrain and how Translink was busy scrambling to put buses to divert passengers, which in turn lead to more traffic backup...

Service on Vancouver's Expo Line SkyTrain is back up and running after the service ground to a halt on Friday morning when TransLink lost communication with several trains in a downtown section of the line.

According to TransLink full service was fully restored just before noon. The problems, which were first reported just after 7:15 a.m. PT, initially shut down the entire Expo Line.

By 8:15 a.m. TransLink was reporting service was partially restored with trains moving slowly along a single track. Buses were also brought in to move commuters from Metrotown Station to the downtown Waterfront Station.

Fairchild Radio ...in the old days they have reporters listen to local traffic radio AT HOME and the call back to the office and do a traffic report via phone line..

will you bring a landline with you when you go out for shopping?

Did you know: Canada line has an antenna run through the whole track in the center for staff's radio.

The anchor of AM1470 said the problem happened at Millennium Line instead of Expo Line. What a big mistake......

I also listened to AM1320, they updated news each half hour. Also, they reported the skytrain service returned to normal at their noon news, good job, Am1470 reported such news at 1:00
