Be the first to Comment  20 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - One person has been arrested after a violent armed robbery at Oakridge Centre on Thursday night. Nobody was hit but several shots were fired around 8:30 pm as thieves held up Montecristo Jewellers.

Winnie was in the mall when the robbery happened. "I saw a man with a black mask holding a gun, along with another man also holding a gun. Then there was pepper spray. There were about two to three gunshots that sounded."

She says at one point the two armed men were trying to bust their way inside the store. "They weren't able to access; they were banging on the window and the door trying to get in."

Vancouver Police say a security guard and store employee were hurt, but not seriously.

Matt was in the mall and says the security guard was bleeding on the ground.  "They beat the crap out of the security guard, he was pretty messed up."

Police aren't giving any details on other suspects or what may have been taken. Montecristo Jewellers has been the target of a number of robberies.
