Resort to luxury at Vancouver Island's spas
Whether you are enjoying the calm waters at the beach or spa, Vancouver Island's central east coast resorts offer a variety of decadent amenities

Vancouver Island's sheltered central east coast beckons visitors with family-friendly beaches, sublime ocean vistas and luxurious spa experiences.

BC Ferries Vacations makes it easy to get there by offering complete vacation packages to Parksville and the surrounding area that include your ferry travel, accommodations, and activities.

The Qualicum Beach and Parksville area has been called the jewel of Vancouver Island and, according to Better Homes and Gardens magazine, is Canada's best family-friendly beach destination.

Cruise across the Strait of Georgia on a scenic ferry sailing to Nanaimo and then head north along the old Island Highway for some fantastic ocean views along the way. If you are planning a trip to the Parksville or Courtenay/Comox areas, here are some tips for making the most of your trip:

Get a great deal on your trip by booking with BC Ferries Vacations. Enjoy a one hour 40 minute BC Ferries trip, then pamper yourself with a two-night stay at Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa or Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort, plus the return ferry, and experience what makes these properties unique with admission to the Pacific Mist Hydropath or the Grotto Mineral Pool.

At Parksville's Tigh-Na-Mara, the sandy beach is endless. The seashells are countless. It's the perfect place to reconnect with your partner, a fantasy getaway for the kids. Parksville is the seaside community of your dreams. Found mid-way up Vancouver Island's east coast, this beachcomber's paradise is closer than you think.

Tigh-Na-Mara's seaside location makes it the ultimate family destination. The resort also offers one of the most extensive children's recreation programs on Vancouver Island. For the adults, there's the sumptuous spa. Be sure to set aside time for the many other things Parksville as well as neighbouring communities Qualicum Beach and Coombs have to offer, such as Morningstar Farm, home to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks and MooBerry Winery.
