北半球響極寒冬警號、高院裁決變性人不准結婚及股神落注友邦招股，成為本港報章今日的頭條新聞。

《明報》報道，俄羅斯傳媒引述氣象專家警告，歐洲今年會迎接「千年一遇」的寒冬，究竟香港今年冬天有多寒冷，天文台昨表示未能預測，不過中秋節剛過，香港昨天氣明顯轉涼，今日氣溫更會跌至最低22℃，昨晚街上已有市民繫頸巾、穿外套保暖。

《蘋果日報    》報道，一名在兩年前完成手術由男變成女的W小姐，因想結婚而遭婚姻登記官拒絕，她提出司法覆核要求推翻該決定。高法院昨裁定W敗訴，但認為政府應就變性人問題諮詢社會意見及取得共識，並透過立法解決問題。W堅決上訴。《成報    》、《南華    早報》及《新報》均以此為頭條。

《星島日報    》報道，可靠消息指出，被剔除郭氏基金新地股份受益人的郭炳湘和其他家族成員已有共識，郭炳湘會獲得約200億元「另起爐灶」，相信事件可以和平解決。

《文匯報》報道，當地時間4日晚，中國國務院總理溫家寶在比利時布魯塞爾出席亞歐首腦會議的間隙，與日本    首相菅直人在走廊「偶遇」，並進行了約25分鐘的「短暫交談」。

《經濟日報》報道，集資逾千億元的友邦保險（AIA）昨日登場，市場消息透露該隻巨型新股首日路演，即告足額認額，市傳更獲「股神」巴菲特及AIG最大私人股東Fairholme，分別認購15億及11億美元（約117億及85.8億港元），加上6名基礎投資者的19億美元定單，已佔去是次基本集資額30%。

《信報》報道，港交所行政總裁李小加昨天首次明確表示，希望明年可落實人民幣計價的新股在港招股上市（IPO）。投資銀行界人士預期，首階段將主要吸引內地中小型企業來港上市。

I really can't imagine that...

I do know 15C 16C in HK feels quite cool...but 22C wor..come on... wear scarf???

Here we are used to arctic climate, so 23C in the summer, is warm already.
In HK, they have 23C aircon in the summer. Here, we have 21C heating in the winter.
So our heating is colder than their aircon.

    23C air con is just the goal....inside the bus, shopping mall in HK the air con is way colder than that.

    我喺香港大架，咪以為我唔知喺香港23C係咩feel先得架。It could be a bit chilly, but not to the extend to wear scarf.

    Yeah 23C I would add a jacket la (in HK)...but I just found wearing scarf a bit exaggerated ....

Actually, in Hong Kong government departments, 26C is the goal for aircon during summer.
In HK, 15C-18C is considered very cold. Under 10C is extremely cold. People in HK are used to 33C.

Here in Vancouver, we are already at 12C. People here are used to 6C to -5C.
