Be the first to Comment  4 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A new aquatic centre in Vancouver is officially open today. The pool complex at Hillcrest Park is the biggest in the city.

Peter Fox, the aquatics supervisor, says it features a lazy river, a 70-person hot-tub, and a 50-metre lap pool, which is a first of its kind.

This is just the first phase of the state-of-the-art facility. Fox says the entire project should be finished next year. "The other part of the facility is the curling [space] that was held for the Winter Games. That is being converted at present, and we'll lean it up in September of next year with an NHL-size ice rink."

The remainder of the project will include a new community centre, ice rink, library, and a pre-school.

didn't it open a while ago? I went there too.  not as good as the one in Richmond.   not that fun tho.
