Callers from inside motel say they've been trapped for hours

Be the first to Comment  0 Recommendation(s) VICTORIA (NEWS1130) - Police in Victoria are in a standoff at a local motel after a possible homicide.

They refuse to comment on what's going on at the Traveller's Inn on Gorge Road but callers from the motel tell News1130 police have the place surrounded.

Colin says the Emergency Response Team isn't letting anyone out of their rooms. "[They told us,] 'Get back in the room, stay in there.' So, we're still on lockdown, and they've taped off the area. Not sure how this will play out."

All police will say is that there is an incident at the motel.

Colin tells us, "I'm quite nervous. When you're not allowed to leave, [you] feel a little bit trapped. I would like to maybe leave and get away from here; go get a coffee and something to eat, get this out of my mind."

Callers say the incident began around 3 o'clock this morning
