I've started a thread long ago suggesting frequent US traveler to open/buy a T-Mobile prepaid account. Once the account accumulated $100 worth of credit (Gold Status), all credits will be good for 1 year. T-Mo's prepaid rate is $0.3/min coast to coast, SMS is $0.15 sent. LD is $0.5/min back to Canada.
I also have a pin-less LD account, and combined with my T-Mo account, all calls back to Canada only $0.35/min.. much better than paying Fido/Rogers/Telus/Bell roaming rate @ $1.65/min. The stupid thing is, my T-Mo account roaming in Canada is only $0.75/min!! How come we pay more for roaming?
