BC Ferries adds extra sailings over the holidays
Over 100 more sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay and Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay

Deb Marshall with Ferries says the expanded schedule is all about meeting the anticipated demand over the holidays.  "The bulk of those extra sailings are on our busiest route, which is between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay, but we also have extra sailings between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay."

Marshall says December 26th, 27th and 28th are usually the busiest, particularly mid-day.  Reservations are recommended during this period.

As a reminder, Marshall says on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, sailing schedules are reduced on some routes due to historically low demand.  34% off CoastSaver fares are in effect December 29th through January 5th on major routes.  Fares are $39.95 during this eight-day period with passengers paying an extra $9.95 each.
