有冇方法幫BB止咳化痰 especially, sleep, baby

My baby is just 3.5 months old...my parents spread the disease to him when they back to Vancouver from HK....BB has been coughing for quite a few days...and especially at night...he can't sleep well and so cranky....I know there's no any prescription drug that can be used as BB is too small...is there any other ways? or just let it be?

Are you breastfeeding?  If so, try to breastfeed more often to give your baby more antibodies.
And yes, for baby this young, there is no prescription drug and all the cold/flu counter drugs are being recalled.
Hope your baby gets well soon and you have to take care of yourself too because when baby is sick, parents are always more tired.

ou might want to look into a humidifier...it will make the room more moist so the baby's throat isn't as dry and less likely to be irritated and cough..

also ask the doctor if you can give the baby any water to soothe the throat

otherwise, just let the baby drink more milk (more fluids)..

So sorry to hear that. I hope he will recover soon.  I think it's perhaps better to have doc check him out to make sure there is no infection at the throat, and others. Humidifier is a good idea too.

doesn't hurt to bring your baby to see the doctor and ask his advise.

brought him to the doctor few days ago....but nothing can be done...wowowo..

Yeah.. unless the baby is having fever, then you just have to let him/her recover on their own.  I would watch for signs of infections.

My son Dario, 8 months now.  Was coughing big time last week, and I didn't get any sleep for a few nights, because he wasn't really sleeping well.  Anyway, I bought a Vicks humidifier which seems to help, and I use it along with the vicks pads.

PS:   Please do not use any cold/cough medication.  Report shows that it wouldn't do your baby any goods, and it may cause more harms than goods in some cases.
