Be the first to Comment 1 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Three men are confirmed dead after an early morning fire in an East Vancouver neighbourhood this morning. A fourth man is in critical condition.
Captain Gabe Roder with Vancouver Fire says, "Three people have succumbed to their injuries at this fire. They're all residents of this home. One is in critical condition right now in the hospital."
There were seven people living in the house, which is described it as a flophouse. Crews were called to Pandora near Renfrew just after midnight. As many as eight crews tried to get the fire under control which completely destroyed the home.
The blackened frame of the small, two-storey home is now sealed off. Roder tells us they're still trying to figure out how this fire started. "At this point, the cause is unknown. We can't say right whether it's a suspicious fire or if it's accidental in nature."
