In an unusual bit of investigative journalism, a reporter from the Columbus Dispatch approached a homeless man on a traffic median who was toting a sign that boasted, "I have a God given gift of voice." The reporter asked the fellow, named Ted Williams, to prove it.
What came out of his mouth is uncanny.

The first time I watched the above video, I thought Williams' voice had been overdubbed - it is so smooth, so authoritative, so radio-ready. But no, it's the real deal.
Then again, if you read his sign closely, you'll notice he's "an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times." He battled both alcoholism and drug abuse. Still, Williams wasn't kidding about his "gift." Is there any doubt that all this viral notoriety will land him a plum gig?
Apparently, he's been approached by organizations like NFL, ESPN and MTV. Kevin McLoughlin, director of post-production films for the National Football League, is quoted in London's Daily Mail as saying, "My boss said to me: "If you don't get him hired, you're fired.'"
Here's hoping that Williams gets a job, and McLoughlin doesn't lose his.
